Drive to Lake Mburo National Park through Uganda’s rolling hills of western uganda. Game drive enroute to the lodge where you can see zebras, impalas, topis, water buffalos, and much more. Dinner and over night at Mihingo Lodge or Arcadia Cottages.
Early morning go for game walk with a ranger. This help you to have a close look of the animals on foot. After the walk return back to the lodge for a late breakfast and check out. Thereafter drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. There will be many stopovers at different scenery points. The drive takes you through Uganda’s savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery to Bwindi gorilla Forest which is home to roughly half of the world’s 450 mountain gorillas. Proceed to the lodge for dinner and over night at Bakiga lodge or Buhoma Community Bandas
Go for gorilla tracking walking up steeply in the dense rain forest through different animals’ trails allowing access to tourists. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Afternoon go Enjoy the Village Walk organized by the local community.
After breakfast our Uganda Safari takes us to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the second largest of all Uganda’s parks. Passing through the southern part of Queen Elizabeth gives many chances of seeing the tree climbing lions. Queen Elizabeth is a UNESCO World Biosphere and has one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in the world! Almost 100 mammal species and a remarkable 614 bird species can be found. Big African mammals like the African Elephant, Lots of schools of hippos along the natural Kzainga channel, Cape Buffalo, Bush and Water buck, the elusive giant forest hog and the handsome Uganda kob all regularly sighted. Dinner and overnight at the Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge.
Visit the nearby Kyambura Gorge to track the fast moving and elusive chimpanzees, one of man’s closest relatives. The chimp population is quite mobile and viewing is unpredictable, however the walk in this “lost world” is nevertheless enchanting. Alternatively, you can go for a nature walk in the Maramagambo Forest. This forest harbors some unusual species -red-tailed and L’Hoest’s Monkey, potto, giant forest hog, and giant elephant shrew. You can also visit the bat caves and the blue lake. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which is especially rewarding for viewing a variety of game especially hippo, buffalo, crocodiles and birds
Go for early morning game in Kasenyi plains. This area supports large concentrations of game, like kobs, waterbucks, buffaloes, elephants and if lucky lions, hyenas, and Leonard. The area around the seven crater lakes in the northern hills is very scenic but game viewing is erratic. The Mweya peninsula is usually good to see the large mammals, bushbuck, waterbuck, and elephant, as well as the unusual giant forest hog. Leopard may also be seen in this area.
Depending on the luck we shall have had on the past game drive, today we can have a optional morning game drive after checking out or depart after breakfast and enjoy game viewing en-route towards Kibale Forest National Park. We shall spend our night at Primate or Nature lodges
After Breakfast go for chimpanzee tracking. You will also see other primates including l’hoestes, red colombus, blue red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey. Enjoy the services of our guide who will give you detailed information on primates, forest, flora and fauna. Afternoon visit to Bigodi swamp, see other mammals and primates including the rare red Columbus monkey and the Sitatunga
After breakfast, transfer to Kampala with a stop over for lunch en-route. Relax at your Lindsay Cottages in the afternoon
