In Uganda/ Rwanda/Congo there are two types of seasons; the rain season and the dry season. The rain season is the months of march,April and may. June July and August are dry months. September October November, is another rainy season, and. December,January, February is dry season. The dry season is the best to track gorillas; first because the forest is dry and therefore its not slippery to hike, the other reason is that the vegetation is not tall therefore good for viewing and pictures. The only disadvantage is that sometimes food is scarce and gorillas are either too mobile or move to high and deep in the mountains to look for food. This makes tracking them quit difficult and harder
The rain season comes with lots of food and therefore gorillas don’t move a lot and far. This makes tracking a bit easier. The only challenge is that it challenging to walk in the jungle because its slippery and muddy. Despite the different seasons, gorilla tracking goes on all year round
