NKURINGO GORILLA FAMILY

The family has 12 members which include 2 silverbacks, 1 black back, 2 adult females, 2 sub adults, 3 juveniles and 2 infants led by dominant silverback Rafiki. It is one of the toughest family to track due to tough terrain however those who have done it have love it. It was the first family to be habituated in this sector in 1997 and the first gorilla family in the whole of bwidi since the gorilla tourism started to record twins in December 2004.
