DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 01: Drive to lake Mburo national park.
You will be picked by Embrace Africa gorilla Vacation’s guide and start your journey to lake mburo arriving in time for the afternoon boat ride and evening game drive. Overnight Rwakobo rock. The drive to Lake Mburo National Park passing small towns along Kampala-Mbarara road arriving in time for lunch, short relaxation en route game drive and a boat cruise on the lake. This trip crosses the equator and therefore provides an opportunity for photography and some experiments to prove that indeed this is center of planet earth. After lunch and short relaxation, you will be driven to the lake to meet your captain of the day who will take you for a two hour boat excursion. Lake Mburo boat cruise is an opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, water bird such as the African fish eagle and the rare African fin foot. Many animals such as buffaloes and antelopes gather here to drink some water so an opportunity to enjoy wildlife most especial marine animals. After your boat cruise, you will enjoy an en route game drive and then retire to your overnight Lodge.

Day 02: Morning Game Drive and after transfer to Kisoro
You will have any early Morning game drive in search of the animals you could have missed in the evening game drive and after transfer to Kisoro. The drive to southwestern Uganda will pass through small and big towns, like Mbarara, Ntungamo, Kabale and then to Kisoro. This journey is very scenic due to low lands, rolling and terraced hills of Kabale and Kisoro Districts. Lunch will be served en route and will arrive in time for overnight and Dinner.

Day 03: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga
After an early breakfast, our driver will drive you to Mgahinga National Park headquarters arriving in time for briefing. Before briefing, your passport details will be required to make sure that you are eligible to trek mountain gorillas. This will be followed by briefing from one of the UWA rangers about gorilla trekking, dos and don’ts and instructions to be followed on the trek, with the gorillas and after the trek. You will then be led to the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. Mgahinga National Park has two habituated mountain gorilla families but one is a visitor from Rwanda. The permanent family here is called Nyakagezi which also used to move between Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park and Mgahinga National Park but it is now permanently resident in Uganda. Once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour with them and then return back to the Lodge for your overnight.

Day 04: Golden Monkey tracking or Volcano Hike
You will go back to Mgahinga National Park for golden monkey trekking. You will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with golden monkeys and then proceed to the mountain/forest for your trek. When you find the monkeys, you will be allowed one hour to view them. Alternatively you can go for volcano hike. Here you will hike mt. Sabinyo which stands at the boarder of three countries; Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. After tracking/hike, you will transfer to bwindi impenetrable national park. overnight
Day 5: Batwa experience hike
This walk is organized and conducted with the Batwa community in collaboration with Uganda wildlife authority. The hike takes to different caves that the used to be homes of the Batwa before they were evicted from the forest when it was made a national park. They also demonstrate how they used to live in the forest. After transfer to bwindi
Lodging: Gorilla valley lodge

Day 06: Second Gorilla tracking or habituation
You will go for the second gorillas tracking or go for an optional gorilla habituation in bwindi impenetrable national park. After tracking you will return to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 07: Lake Bunyonyi Boat excursion
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is the the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest in Africa. Formed as a result of lava damning, the lake has many island each with its rich history. It’s one of the nice places to relax after your gorilla trek. At lake bunyonyi, you may choose to take a canoe ride on lake Bunyonyi to explore the many Islands in the lake, or go hill hiking for those who are fit enough and visit the Batwa community in Kabale. Retire to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 08: End of your 7 day lake , Bwindi gorillas, golden monkeys and bunyonyi safari
After breakfast, you will drive back to Entebbe International Airport with a lunch stop at the Equator crossing. Proceed to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. End of your 7 Day Lake Mburo, Mgahinga, Bwindi gorillas, golden monkeys and Bunyonyi safari.
