This 3 days Uganda gorilla habituation safari is one of the shortest Uganda safari. It is recommended for people who want to spend more time with the gorillas than the normal gorilla tracking which allows one hour encounter. Gorilla habituation is an activity which involves following a family of gorillas that is under training (habituation) to make them get used to people. This activity starts very early in the morning and goes on for the better part of the day. This activity gives you more time with gorillas different from the normal gorilla tracking where you’re allowed only one hour after encountering the gorillas. This tour is suitable for people attending conferences and business meetings in Uganda or Rwanda and have extra two or three extra days off their busy schedule. Depart from Entebbe/Kampala/Kigali in the morning and proceed southwestern Uganda for your gorilla tour. If you start in Uganda, you will have a stop over at the Equator for photography. The drive of this Uganda gorilla safari takes you through Savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of the Ankole long-horned cattle whose horns are incredibly curvy mostly in the fully individuals. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, within Uganda all with terraced farming and mountain scenery to Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Forest. If you start from Kigali, You start a short city tour to Kigali genocide museum and thereafter drive for about two hours to Uganda-Rwanda border. It might take you about one hour to go through custom procedures before you proceed to gorilla national park for the next two hours. Very early morning after breakfast start with packed lunch head for the park offices for briefing and then head off to the Bwindi jungle. Gorilla habituation at times can be tough whereby you walk up and down steeply in the dense rain forest through different animals’ trails. Gorilla habituation is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact in their gentility, the young ones are so playful and here you come to admire them and many of our clients who have encountered this imagine these guys in the jungles and get emotional, after a minimum of four hours with them, you will peacefully leave them and trek back to the starting point for congratulatory messages for overcoming one of the toughest activity and for contributing to the conservation of these endangered apes.
