Depart Kampala in the morning after breakfast and go through Uganda’s beautiful green countryside. The drive as we proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Mubende and Fort Portal is so scenic, we shall have many stopovers looking out for the different species of primates including the Valvet, Red and Balck and white collobus monkeys, we continue and have Lunch in Fort Portal town which lies in the fabled mountains of the moon later transfer to Mweya Safaris or Jacana Safari lodge (L), Kingfisher Resort (M) or the Mweya Hostel (B) for dinner and overnight. Day 3 – Sunday
An early morning game drive in this park provides excellent opportunities to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Bush bucks and many more. After lunch, Enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga natural Channel joining the two lakes – George and Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 687 resident species. Dinner and overnight stay as before.
Day 4 – Monday
After breakfast, you can either proceed to Kyambura Gorge for Chimp tracking or visit the bat cave together with the blue lake. Have lunch then an optional afternoon nature walk in the Immaramagambo forest, then drive back to the Lodge for Dinner and Over night stay.
Day 5 – Tuesday
After breakfast, we transfer to lake Bunyonyi where we shall reach in the evening and check in at Bushara islands.
Day 6 – Wednesday
After early morning breakfast we go for excursions around Bunyonyi; Visits to most places of interest around lake Bunyonyi can be arranged through the lake shore resorts and hotels and its also possible to reach some sites using boats along the lake.
Day 7 – Thursday
After breakfast, Leisurely drive back to Kampala with a stop over for lunch en-route. Stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations. There will also be time to stop at the Equator for photographs. You will arrive in Kampala in the early evening.
